The Chicken Ranch Mining Association was founded in 1997. Named after the infamous 1800's house of "ill-repute" in historic old Las Vegas, Nevada, our first placer gold claim was staked in the spring of 1997 high up in the north-central Colorado Rockies on a tributary of the famous Colorado River, named, simply, Willow Creek.
A limited number of yearly memberships (maximum 100), are now being offered to those wishing to share in the thrill of prospecting for gold and other valuable minerals and gems in a part of the United States that is unsurpassed in scenic beauty. What better place to spend a two-week summer vacation,in pursuit of activities that may even help pay for the trip?
As the following montauge
of photographs depict, the 160-acre claim area couldn't be located in much
more desirable surroundings. The fact that placer gold is readily
available for the taking, merely enhances the pleasure of becoming an active
member in the association. Here's a sample of what awaits you should
you decide to join!!
